Damaged Gutters Replaced with Wide Mouth Downspouts and Extensions in American Fork
Challenge
This American Fork property was experiencing serious drainage issues due to missing downspouts and severely damaged gutters. With water pooling around the foundation, the risk of long-term exterior damage and erosion was growing. Without proper gutter flow, the home was vulnerable to overflow, water intrusion, and foundation wear—especially during heavy Utah storms.
Solution
To restore proper drainage, we installed new wide mouth downspouts in three key areas to handle larger volumes of water efficiently. Each downspout was extended to carry water safely away from the foundation, reducing the threat of moisture damage and soil erosion. This upgrade significantly improved the home’s water management system and offered a practical, effective solution for immediate concerns.
However, for long-term peace of mind and maintenance-free protection, a Gutter Shutter system would have been an ideal choice. With built-in clog resistance and superior water-handling capacity, Gutter Shutter eliminates the need for seasonal cleaning and guards against overflow year-round—making it a worthwhile investment for permanent protection.
